Ashford Triathlon

The next challenge: Edinburgh Marathon (21- 22nd May)

The team will be Sean Hagger, Carl Hagger and Philip Tapply all who have been involved with previous Challenge SGM events. They are well underway with their training and the best times are tumbling! If anyone else is interested in this event please get in contact.


Lands End to John O Groats




This time honoured challenge has been walked, run, uni-cycled, skateboarded and even raced on wheelchairs. But we’ve gone for the classic road cycle. The actual route you follow varies hugely depending on the length of time you have and the degree of countryside you’d like to see. But on average the route takes a good cyclist between 10-14 days to complete. Click here to read more


The Chara Challenge

Chara Challenge LogoOur current featured event is the Chara Challenge. We are looking to put a team together to compete in this years race. It is a race over 30 miles in teams of up to 10. Each member of the team has to carry a 15kg back pack, not including water or food. The event is in August so there is plenty of time to train for it. Interested? click here to read more…

42 mile High Peak Marathon: March 2010

The event is based over a 42 mile route and starts at 10 pm. The record for the event is just over 8 hours and it requires night navigation abilities. There is a four man team representing Challenge sgm, who will be doing the event in order to raise money for maggies cancer trust.

Helly Hanson Autumn Assault: October 2009

In this event a 3 man team is required to complete 3 different disciplines; running, cycling and kayaking. The team must complete each stage together and is only counted as finishing when the last team member crosses the line. The course is over a 60k distance and all based off road.
